SERVICE ONE Alliance Bank payment and merchant services are provided by Bendigo and Adelaide Bank and give businesses multiple methods of processing purchases. These run through from face-to-face point of sale (POS) options and other non face-to-face methods of transacting.

Face-to-face trading

All point-of-sale terminals come with full installation and equipment training, user guides and free support stationery.

In addition to this 24/7 help support is available for merchants through Bendigo Bank's merchant services team on 1300 132 741, as well as a manual card imprinter as a ‘Fallback’ facility in the event of technical difficulties.

  Mobile EFTPOS

Whether your business wants to take payments at the counter, at the table, or on the go, our MOVE5000 EFTPOS device can do it all.

  Integrated EFTPOS

An integrated EFTPOS facility allows POS software to be integrated with an EFTPOS terminal. This integrated EFTPOS solution communicates via IP/ADSL and gives businesses and customers the convenience of one step payments.

There are two configuration options for this:

  • Full integration: this uses the POS systems printer and communications channel as well as transaction messaging to and from the POS system.
  • Interfaced integration: this uses its own EFTPOS printer and EFTPOS communications inlet and will only send the transaction value to and from the POS system.

An integrated merchant facility has the ability to accept all credit card types through magnetic strip, chip and contactless methods. This includes all major debit cards issued in Australia including debit and credit cards issued by MasterCard and Visa. Options are also available to accept charge cards issues by American Express, Diners and JCB.

Non face-to-face trading

The SERVICE ONE Alliance Bank payment and merchant options also offer solutions to businesses that transact with customers through non face-to-face means. This can include transacting online, by mail, telephone, fax or secure email.

  Website Payment Gateway

This allows customers to securely process their own credit card payments when shopping through a business website.

Advantages

  • compatible with a wide range of cards including MasterCard and Visa (American Express, Diners and JCB available upon request)
  • we'll provide a qualified technician to achieve integration and also ongoing support
  • automatic enrolment in Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCodeTM - offering protection against unauthorised transactions and shift the liability of the transaction to the issuing bank (this covers cardholder-generated transactions)
  • settlement of funds into nominated account within two business days
  • administrative functions such as processing voids and refunds, and
  • as payment gateway is a MasterCard server hosted service, no cardholder information is entered into a business website.
The business website must meet certain requirements including (but not limited to) clear description of goods and services for sale, contact information, clear details of shipping practices and delivery policy/timeframe, transaction currency in AUD amounts, total cost of goods and services purchased inclusive of shipping charges, and clear refund/return policy.
  Online mail order/telephone order (MOTO) merchant facility

This provides a facility in which businesses can process transactions. This is done through the online MOTO facility by entering customer details to process purchase orders. This facility enables businesses to also authorise these transactions as well as the viewing of transaction records and the processing of administrative functions such as voids and refunds.

The online MOTO facility also includes the ability to process all major debit and credit cards issued in Australia including cards issued by MasterCard and Visa. Options are also available to accept charge cards issues by American Express, Diners and JCB.

  • reduction in fraud as authorisation process checks card for available funds and if the card is reported lost or stolen
  • training and ongoing support free of charge, and
  • multiple staff can be authorised as users at no extra cost.
You just need a secure computer with Internet access for this solution.
  Batch Processing 

The Batch Processing Merchant Facility is a simple and efficient payment solution for businesses that have a large volume of transactions. Multiple transactions that are recurring, instalment or periodic can be submitted in a single file using our online payment gateway. Typically, this solution suits businesses that accept memberships (such as gyms), magazine subscriptions or donations. This will also give access to the viewing of transaction records and processing of administrative functions such as voids and refunds. In addition to this businesses will have the ability to process a large number of transactions in a single batch and have access to immediate online authorisation of transactions.

Batch processing is also compatible with all major debit and credit cards issued in Australia including those issued by MasterCard and Visa. Options are also available to accept charge cards issues by American Express, Diners and JCB.
