Cash Passport Platinum Mastercard

The Cash Passport Platinum Mastercard is a pre-paid and reloadable, chip and PIN-protected card that enables you to load up to 11 different currencies onto the one card, allowing you to obtain local cash from foreign ATMs or to pay for goods overseas using the Mastercard worldwide network.

Key features of the Cash Passport include:


Convenient A multi-currency card that enables foreign currency to be held in a secure method when travelling overseas
Flexible Load up to 11 different currencies and lock in the exchange rate before you travel - you can choose the amount of each currency you want on the card. Manage your currency balance as you travel.Choose from USD, EUR, GBP, NZD, CAD, SGD, JPY, THB, HKD, AED, AUD.
Eligibility You don't have to be over 18 (so it's ideal for students).
Reloading Extra funds can be loaded onto the card via BPAY, in-Branch, via EFT, by card or from another Cash Passport (reload daily limits apply).
Secure No value is kept on the card, so if a card is lost or stolen, no one can access your money (provided the PIN remains secure).
Second card For added convenience, you can purchase a second card, so even if one is lost or stolen you can still access your funds.
Great support 24-hour Global Assistance is available, together with a cardholder website and dedicated App where you can view your account, manage your currency balance or reload your card. Emergency funds can also be arranged if required.

  • With the Cash Passport Platinum card there is no danger of overspending, which means that there are no unpleasant bills to come home to.
  • You will be utilising the worldwide Mastercard network, with millions of ATMs and retailers.
  • Cash Passport Platinum cards are not linked to bank accounts, offering you increased protection.
  • You can choose to use unspent funds for your next trip or cash out the card. Conditions apply.
  • You'll have access to free global Wi-Fi across millions of Boingo hotspots (terms and conditions apply).

SERVICE ONE Branches carry Cash Passport stock and your new card and initial load (or reloads) can be organised in-Branch.

Lock-in your exchange rates means the exchange rate is locked in for the initial load only. The exchange rates for subsequent reloads will be set at the prevailing exchange rate at the time of the transaction.

Subject to any surcharge that may be imposed directly by merchants. Cash Passport is unable to be used for purchases related to gambling or adult entertainment. Currently Cash Passport cannot be used in the following countries and geographical regions due to sanctions that are currently in place: Crimea, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria. If you attempt to use your card at merchants in any of these countries and geographical regions, your request will be declined. In addition, the ATMs and POS terminals are not owned or operated by the Issuer or MasterCard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Limited and the Issuer or MasterCard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Limited are not responsible for ensuring that merchants will accept the Card. For example, the Issuer and MasterCard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Limited cannot control when an ATM or POS terminal is due for maintenance or is faulty or if a merchant chooses not to accept the Card.
