New CEO Appointed

SERVICE ONE Mutual Limited Board of Directors is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Ivan Slavich as the new CEO.

Ivan was selected following a rigorous recruitment process which included several excellent candidates. He brings with him a wealth of highly relevant experience and his previous roles have included CEO of Capital Football, CEO of Soldier On, CEO of ASX listed Energy Action and CEO of TransACT. He has held many senior executive roles including with AGL, ActewAGL and iiNet. Ivan has a Business degree from the University of Technology Sydney and has postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration and Applied Finance (Mt Eliza Business School, AICD and Financial Services Institute of Australasia). Ivan is a Fellow and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has been an FAICD for the past 15 years.

On Australia Day 2024, Ivan became a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to business and to the community through governance and philanthropic endeavours. He undertakes a considerable amount of charity work, in particular being one of the highest fundraisers for Camp Quality, who help children impacted by cancer. He was the highest worldwide fundraiser for Movember who help with men’s health issues and has been very closely associated with Football in our region.

Ivan served on the Board of SERVICE ONE Mutual for the past 14 years, most recently as Chair, so he knows the organisation and its members extremely well. Ivan has resigned his position as Chair and Non-Executive Director at SERVICE ONE to assume his new role.

 This is an exciting period for our Mutual as we continue to look for further services to our members, as well as focus on the development of one of Australia’s largest Bendigo Bank Community Bank network of branches in the ACT, South Coast, Snowy Mountains and Newcastle. In addition, we will be identifying ways in which we can service and assist our communities, for example, through community grant programs, investment in social enterprises and support for innovation in our region.

While the Board have been working on this recruitment, Kashif Cheema has done a wonderful job acting in the role of CEO. The Board extends sincere thanks to Kashif for his contribution to SERVICE ONE over this period and for ensuring ongoing operations continued smoothly during this time.
