Hands Across Canberra Partnership
We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Hands Across Canberra. Their new CEO, Genevieve Jacobs, and Communications and Partnerships Manager, Jo Dean-Ritchie are now operating from our Deakin offices. We look forward to working together on new ventures to give back to our local communities.
Supporting Social Enterprise
We continue to be the major supporter of Mill House Ventures, helping to fund their GRIST program for budding social entrepreneurs. Our CEO recently sat on the panel to consider bids for a share of the $340,000 ACT Social Enterprise Grant. Fourteen enterprises submitted successful bids, we can’t wait to see them achieve their goals.
Annual General Meeting
Our AGM for 2024 will take place at 6.30pm in the Daily Chronicle Room at East Hotel, Kingston on Tuesday 19th November. Registrations will open at 6pm and light refreshments will be available after the meeting. Please come along to find out what we have been doing over the past financial year and the exciting projects we have planned for the future.
Future Plans
Whilst our banking business is now part of the Bendigo Community Bank network, the Mutual has not disappeared. In fact we are now looking to expand the work we do, supporting your local communities and embarking on new ventures in the future. We think the time has come to rebrand the Mutual to better reflect our new, broader goals… watch this space for some exciting announcements later in the year!
Banking Safely Online
Staff from Bendigo Community Bank Canberra and Regions have been delivering presentations to community groups to help them bank safely online.
These 30-minute sessions are designed to boost confidence and equip customers with the tools to spot and prevent scams and fraud. Future presentations open to all Service One members will be taking place at the Deakin Bank Branch building, 75 Denison Street and virtually online on the dates listed below. Please come along to improve your digital know-how!
