SERVICE ONE adds two more franchises to portfolio
SERVICE ONE Mutual’s new subsidiary, SERVICE ONE Financial Services Pty Limited, adds two new Community Bank franchises to its portfolio, Community Bank Curtin and Community Bank Calwell.
This makes the group one of the largest Community Bank franchise groups in Australia with branches already operating in Deakin, Belconnen and Tuggeranong in the ACT and Newcastle, Batemans Bay, Cooma and Tumut in NSW.
‘Our mission has always been to give back to our communities and this new acquisition will enable us to invest more into local communities along with the social enterprise sector,’ explains Matt Smith CEO.
SERVICE ONE is a founding partner and ongoing supporter of Mill House Ventures, a social enterprise accelerator program based in the ACT. The program provided the guidance, rigor and mentor support behind successful social enterprises such as The Climate Factory, Base Soaps, Altina Drinks, Decision Revolution and Easy Read Tool Box, to name a few.
‘The social enterprise sector is vital to supporting ongoing community prosperity and connection. These entrepreneurs base their business models on addressing social issues that would otherwise struggle to receive the support they so badly need.’
The Community Bank Curtin and Calwell branches previously operated under Molonglo Financial Services. The deal was finalised on the 3rd July allowing SERVICE ONE Financial Services to acquire the staff, assets and revenue right under its franchise agreement with Bendigo Bank
