Snowy Mountains Monopoly Edition
On 14th October 2024, SERVICE ONE Mutual Ltd announced it is sponsoring a unique Snowy Mountains edition of the iconic Monopoly board game, set to go on sale in time for the 2025 ski season. This exciting initiative aims to promote the breathtaking Snowy Mountains region and strengthen the local community ties that the Mutual has nurtured for decades.
‘We are inviting local businesses to partner with us and feature in this special edition of the game’, said Ivan Slavich, CEO of the Mutual. ‘There are many ways to get involved, from sponsoring customised property squares and tokens to featuring on Community Chest and Chance cards. It’s a great way to promote your business and support this incredible region. We have had both verbal and written intended support from Community Bank Cooma (Bendigo Bank), Thredbo Resort, Monaro Tyrepower, Rhythm Snowsports, Snowy Hydro and Red Energy but we need more icons to join in the fun!’.
In line with the Mutual’s vision to give back to local communities, a portion of the proceeds from game sales will be donated to local charities, including Community Chest Cooma, Snowy Mountains Wildlife Rescue (known locally as LAOKO), and ski patrols. ‘We believe the game will be a great asset for the region, showcasing all it has to offer both local people and the many visitors who will play the game beside a cosy fire after a day on the slopes’ Ivan said.
To celebrate the natural beauty and spirit of the Snowy Mountains, the Mutual is also launching a photography competition titled “What the Snowy Mountains Mean to Me.” Local residents are invited to submit photos that reflect their connection to the area - winning entries will be featured on the game board or box.
Important Dates: All artwork for this special edition must be finalised by the end of November 2024. Businesses interested in participating in this exciting project are encouraged to contact Louise Parker, SERVICE ONE Special Projects Manager. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to promote your organisation to both local residents and thousands of visitors for years to come!
